Shed removal and detached garage tear-down, contents and all
Old sheds and detached garages torn down and hauled away across Broward and Miami-Dade, including whatever is still inside. Shed removal from $350.
01Sheds and outbuildings we take down
Most sheds in South Florida do not die of old age. They rot at the floor, rust through at the roof, or get knocked crooked in a storm and never sit right again. By then they are usually full, too. Rapid Haul takes the whole thing: the junk inside, the walls and roof, the floor, and the debris, in one visit.
Common jobs include:
- Wood sheds, including ones with rotted floors and termite damage
- Metal and aluminum sheds, rusted or bent
- Resin and plastic sheds
- Carports and small backyard covers
- Detached garages that stand on their own, away from the house
- Whatever is stored inside: tools, lawn gear, bikes, boxes
02Shed removal cost and what changes it
Shed removal starts at $350. The price is flat and all-in: tear-down, carrying it out, loading, hauling and disposal. Text Dany a photo of the outside, one of the inside with the door open, and one of the path to the street.
Three things move the number. First, what is inside: an empty shed is quicker than one packed to the roof, but the contents can usually be added to the same price instead of booking a second job. Second, the floor: a wood floor on blocks lifts out, while a concrete pad is a separate item if you want it gone too. Third, access, since a shed in a fenced back corner with a narrow side gate means more carrying. Detached garages are priced after Dany sees them, because they vary so much.
Jobs of $1,000 and over, which can include a detached garage, take a 50% deposit to hold the date.

03Detached garages and where we draw the line
A detached garage is one that stands apart from the house and does not share a wall or roof with it. Those Rapid Haul can tear down as non-structural removal of a standalone building. An attached garage, or anything that ties into the house's roof or walls, is not work the crew takes on.
For a detached garage, the general contractor or property owner pulls any permit the city or county requires. Power to the building has to be disconnected by an electrician before the crew starts, and any water line capped by a plumber. Dany will ask about both when you call.
Old sheds and garages sometimes have a light, an outlet or a hose bib run to them. Even if nothing has worked for years, assume the line is live until an electrician or plumber says otherwise. The crew will check for wires and pipes at the walk-through and will not cut anything that has not been cleared.
04Backyard conditions in Broward and Miami-Dade
Backyards here tend to be fenced, planted and close to the neighbors. The crew works inside that space without trampling the landscaping, and keeps the noise to working hours. If your HOA has rules about work times or where a truck can park, check them before the date.
Rain is the other local factor. A shed full of wet cardboard and soaked particle board is heavier and messier, so if you can, call before the next storm rather than after. Wasps and other critters like old sheds too; mention it if you have seen a nest.
Most of these jobs land in the cities Dany works most, like Davie, Pembroke Pines, Weston, Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale, but anywhere in Broward or Miami-Dade is regular ground for the crew.

05Shed jobs, in customers' words
Nelsen D. had a shed taken down in Hollywood and said the crew "left the place spotless." Faith n. said of her shed job, "they killed it in one day." Jesus S., who was clearing a house to sell, wrote that Dany "swept it out and left everything super clean."
06After the shed is gone
You are left with a flat, raked patch of yard or a bare pad, swept of screws, glass and shingle scraps. If the pad is coming out too, the crew breaks it up and hauls it as part of the agreed price. Either way, the spot is ready for sod, a new shed, or just more yard.

Real job, sped up
A shed coming down, start to finish
The crew cuts the last brace and the roof comes down in one piece. Then it gets broken down and loaded so nothing is left in the yard.
Dany's own footage from the job, trimmed and played faster. Nothing staged or generated.

How the job runs, step by step

Step 1
Empty the shed
The crew carries out everything stored inside and loads it first, checking with you on anything you want to keep.

Step 2
Take down roof and walls
Roof panels come off, then the walls, broken into pieces that fit through gates and side yards.

Step 3
Lift the floor and load
The floor and blocks come up, and everything is carried to the truck and hauled to disposal.

Step 4
Rake and sweep the spot
The crew rakes the ground for nails and screws and leaves the area flat and clean.
Shed & Detached Garage Demolition: common questions
Something else on your mind? Call (754) 249-1015.
How much does it cost to have someone remove a shed?
Shed removal starts at $350 with Rapid Haul, flat and all-in. Larger sheds, full sheds and detached garages cost more. Text a photo to (754) 249-1015 for a firm number.
How can I get rid of an old shed?
You can tear it down yourself and pay for disposal, or have a crew take it down and haul it in one trip. Rapid Haul does the second, contents included.
Do I have to empty the shed first?
No. Tell Dany what is inside when you send the photo, and the contents can be priced into the same job.
Can you remove the concrete pad too?
Yes, as an add-on. Mention it with your photos and it goes into the flat price.
Can you take down a garage?
A detached garage that stands on its own, yes. Anything attached to the house is not work Rapid Haul does. Power and water must be disconnected by an electrician and plumber first.
Can you come the same day?
Sometimes, for a small shed, when you call early. Dany answers himself, Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM.
