Material Delivery: what we do

Bulk Material Delivery

You buy the mulch, gravel or sand. Dany picks it up from the supplier and places it in your yard or on your site across Broward and Miami-Dade. From $85.

From $85

What material delivery covers

Rapid Haul does not sell materials. You buy them, from a big box store, a lumber yard or a supplier, and Dany's crew picks them up and brings them to your site. The point is to keep your crew working instead of losing half a day driving to the store and back.

Typical runs:

  • Home Depot and Lowe's order pickups
  • Lumber, plywood and decking from lumber yards
  • Drywall, cement board and insulation
  • Roofing materials, picked up and dropped where the roofer wants them
  • Bagged concrete, mortar, block and pavers
  • Bulk materials like mulch, gravel and sand
  • Multi-stop runs: two or three suppliers in one trip

Placed where you need it, not left at the curb

Store delivery often means a pallet dropped at the end of the driveway. Dany's crew carries the materials to where your crew will use them: the garage, the backyard, a specific room, or the side of the house where the deck is going in. Tell Dany where it should go when you book, and it gets placed there.

For condos, the crew uses the service elevator during the building's allowed hours and follows its rules on protecting halls. For houses, the crew stacks materials off the ground and out of the way when rain is coming, and keeps the driveway clear for other trades.

How delivery is priced

Material delivery starts at $85. The price is flat and set before the run. What moves it: how many stops, how far the pickup is from the site, how heavy the load is, and how far it has to be carried once it arrives. A single Home Depot pickup dropped in a garage is at the low end. Three supplier stops with drywall going up to a second-floor condo costs more.

Send Dany the order details, the pickup location and the site address. If the order is ready for pickup, have the order number and name on it ready to share. You pay the store directly for the materials; Rapid Haul charges only for the pickup and delivery.

Jobs of $1,000 and over take a 50% deposit to hold the date.

Roofing, lumber and masonry runs

Different materials need different handling, and the crew plans for each. Lumber and decking get strapped and carried flat so boards do not bow or chip. Drywall and cement board are carried on edge and kept dry, since a wet sheet is a wasted sheet. Roofing materials are dropped where your roofer asks, usually as close to the work as possible, and Rapid Haul never goes on the roof itself. Bagged concrete, mortar and block are the heaviest, so the crew stacks them near where they will be mixed or set.

Store and supplier pickups work the same way whatever the material. Your order is paid for and waiting, Dany's crew shows the order details at the counter, checks the load against your list before it leaves, and calls you if anything is missing or damaged. That saves the second trip that usually eats an afternoon.

Delivery services in this group

Bulk material delivery is its own page, for mulch, gravel, sand and other loose or bagged landscape and site materials. Lumber, decking, drywall, roofing materials and store pickups are covered here. If you also need debris hauled away from the same site, the crew can take the old out on the trip that brings the new in.

For contractors and homeowners

Contractors use delivery to keep crews on the tools. Homeowners use it when a big box store's delivery date is a week out, or when the item does not fit in the car. Either way, one call to Dany sets it up. David B. listed "material delivery" alongside debris hauling and demolition when recommending Rapid Haul, and Carla O. said a heavy item was delivered "with great care and professionalism."

Most runs are in Broward and Miami-Dade, especially around Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Davie, Weston and Hollywood.

If you have a recurring need, like a builder who needs a lumber run every Monday, tell Dany. He can set a standing day so the materials are on site before your crew arrives, and give you a flat price for each run so billing stays simple.
