The tear-out jobs Dany's crew takes on

Rapid Haul does the tear-out part of a project: the part where something old has to come out, get broken down and leave the property. Every job ends with the debris loaded and hauled to disposal, so you are not left with a pile in the driveway.

Each type of job has its own page with the details. Here is the short list.

  • Interior demolition: kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, drywall and condo interiors (room demo from $750)
  • Deck removal, including dock decking and canal-side decks (from $550)
  • Shed removal and detached garage tear-down (shed from $350)
  • Fence removal and haul-away
  • Concrete removal: patios, walkways and slabs, plus masonry debris
  • Above-ground pools, pool decks and hot tubs

What non-structural means on a Rapid Haul job

Dany keeps every demolition job to non-structural work. That means finishes, fixtures, flooring, cabinets, partition walls that hold nothing up, and outdoor builds like decks, sheds, fences and slabs. It does not mean taking out walls, beams or columns that carry the roof or the floor above. If a wall might be holding something up, it stays until your engineer or builder says otherwise, and that kind of removal is their job, not ours.

Permits are handled the same way. The general contractor or the property owner pulls any permit the job needs. Dany does not pull permits and does not act as the builder on your project. He shows up, tears out what is on the scope, and hauls it away.

Utilities come first. Electric, plumbing and gas lines in the work area have to be shut off and capped by your electrician, plumber or gas company before the crew starts. Roofing is haul-only: Rapid Haul hauls roofing debris your roofer leaves behind but does not strip roofs. Fences are removal only. Pools are above-ground pools and pool decks only, never in-ground pool demolition.

How the flat price is set

Text Dany a few photos of what needs to come out, or have him take a quick look. You get one flat, all-in price that covers labor, tear-out, loading, hauling and disposal. Starting prices from the booking page: shed from $350, deck from $550, room demo from $750. Everything else gets a flat price after a photo.

What moves the price is weight and access more than size alone. Tile and concrete are heavy. A second-floor condo with a long walk to the elevator takes longer than a ground-floor garage. Tight side yards slow down a shed or deck job. Dany prices all of that up front, so the number he gives you is the number you pay.

Jobs of $1,000 and over, which is most bigger demolition work, take a 50% deposit to hold the date. The balance is due when the job is done.

Working in Broward and Miami-Dade

Most of Dany's tear-out work is in Broward and Miami-Dade, out of a home base in Hollywood. Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Davie, Weston and Hollywood see the most jobs. Palm Beach County is possible when the job is big enough to make the drive worth it.

A few local things are worth sorting out before the date. Condo buildings and HOAs often have their own rules about work hours, elevator use and where a truck can park, so check with the building manager first. Summer heat and afternoon rain are part of every outdoor job here, which is one reason the crew starts early. And curbside bulk pickup is not built for a gutted bathroom or a broken-up patio, which is why the haul-away is part of every Rapid Haul price.

What customers say about the demo work

Reviews for demolition jobs keep coming back to the same few things: on time, clean, fair. Ehren R. wrote that the crew "showed up on time, worked hard, and cleaned everything up when they were done." Rosa R., who runs a remodeling business with her husband, said Dany "works hard and does clean work." Eduardo M. hired Rapid Haul for a condo demolition and said Dany "made the whole process so much easier."

How the job runs, step by step

  1. Step 1

    Walk through the scope

Dany or his crew walks the space with you and confirms exactly what comes out, what stays, and that utilities are already shut off and capped.

  2. Step 2

    Protect and tear out

Floors and paths that stay get covered, then the crew tears out the materials on the scope and breaks them down for loading.

  3. Step 3

    Load and haul to disposal

Debris gets carried out and loaded the same day, then hauled to the right disposal site. No pile left at the curb.

  4. Step 4

    Sweep and final check

The crew sweeps the work area and walks it with you so the next trade can start on a clean space.

Demolition: common questions

Something else on your mind? Call (754) 249-1015.

How much do demolition services cost?

It depends on what comes out and how heavy it is. Starting prices are shed from $350, deck from $550 and room demo from $750. Text Dany photos at (754) 249-1015 and he will send one flat price that includes hauling and disposal.

Do you pull the permit for my demo?

No. The general contractor or the property owner pulls any permit the job needs. Rapid Haul does the non-structural tear-out and haul-away.

Can you take out a wall?

Only a partition wall that holds nothing up, and only once your builder or engineer has confirmed that. Walls, beams or columns that carry weight are not work Rapid Haul does.

Do I need to turn anything off before you come?

Yes. Electric, plumbing and gas in the work area must be shut off and capped by your electrician, plumber or gas company before the crew starts tearing out.

Is a deposit required?

Jobs of $1,000 and over take a 50% deposit to hold the date, with the balance due at the end. Smaller jobs are quoted the same flat way.

How soon can you start?

Small tear-outs can sometimes happen the same day when you call early. Bigger jobs get a set date. Dany answers the phone himself, Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM.
