Junk removal in Indian Creek, planned around the bridge and the Village rules
Estate cleanouts, furniture and renovation debris on Indian Creek island, cleared with the homeowner and the Village first. Text Dany a photo for one flat price.
01What Village trash service takes, and what it publishes
Indian Creek runs its own trash schedule. Trash and yard trash go out Monday, Wednesday and Friday, recycling every Thursday, and service runs as scheduled except Christmas Day. The Village page does not say whether Village staff or a contractor does the collecting, and notes that service information will be updated as it becomes available.
Bulk waste is collected on schedule, but it is not permitted in the regular trash cart. The Village does not publish bulk size limits or how to schedule a bulk pickup, so call Village Hall at (305) 865-4121 before you put anything large out.
Yard trash has firm limits. It must be bundled or bagged, no longer than four feet and no thicker than four inches, and no bundle, bag or container may be over 50 pounds, with a maximum of six items per collection. A landscape cleanup bigger than that needs its own haul.
02Renovation debris and permits on the island
Village trash service does not accept contractor-generated waste, and construction debris is not permitted in recycling. Anything that comes out of a renovation has to leave with the contractor or a hauler.
Building permits come from the Village Building Department, which handles permits, inspections and development requirements, through Village Hall at 9080 Bay Drive. The Village posts a building permit application form; a demolition-specific page is not published. Your general contractor, or you as the owner, pulls the permit. Rapid Haul does not.
Dany's part is the non-structural tear-out, such as cabinets, fixtures, tile and flooring, and the haul off the island. Nothing that holds the house up gets touched.

03A gated island of large homes
The Village describes itself as an incorporated residential municipality on a barrier island in Biscayne Bay that keeps its own local government, administrative services and public safety. The 2020 Census counted 84 residents in 12 households.
Most of the island is the Indian Creek Country Club golf course, with 41 residential home sites around it. The only road in is the bridge from Surfside, and a police checkpoint on the bridge turns away non-residents. So nothing happens without the homeowner or the house manager clearing the crew first.
Jobs here tend to be estate-scale: a bedroom suite or a full house of furniture cleared before a sale or a redesign, appliances replaced, or debris from interior work. Send photos and the access details together.
04How booking works from Hollywood
Rapid Haul is based in Hollywood, and Miami-Dade is one of its two main counties. Text photos to (754) 249-1015 and Dany, who answers himself, sends one flat, all-in price for labor, loading, hauling and disposal. Same-day is often possible when you call early, as long as access onto the island is arranged. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM.
Junk removal is paid after the job. Jobs of $1,000 and over, mostly demolition, take a 50% deposit.

05Disposal options, and what is not published
The Village does not publish a drop-off facility for residents. Miami-Dade County's Trash and Recycling Centers are for the county's waste-fee customers, who must show a Florida driver's license or ID to verify their address, and whether Indian Creek addresses qualify is not stated. With so little published, the simplest plan for anything the Village schedule won't take is to have it hauled straight from the house. Send Dany the photos, the access details and your move-out date, and he quotes one price.

Up to six bundles or bags per collection, each under 50 pounds, with branches no longer than four feet and no thicker than four inches.
What are the bulk limits in Indian Creek?
The Village does not publish bulk size limits or scheduling. Call Village Hall at (305) 865-4121, or send Dany a photo for a flat price to take it.
