Furniture we haul away

New couch arriving Thursday and the old one is still in the living room? Moving out and the bed frame will not fit in the new place? We take it from wherever it is, upstairs bedroom, back patio or the far end of a condo hallway, and load it ourselves.

Couch removal

Couches are the single item we haul most. They are heavy, they do not bend, and they always seem to be wider than the door. Sleeper sofas hide a steel frame that adds a lot of weight. Sectionals come apart into pieces, which helps.

If a couch got in through the door, it can come back out. If it was assembled inside the room or the stairwell is tight, the crew takes it apart and carries it out in sections. Text Dany a photo of the couch and the path out, and the price will already account for it.

Mattress removal

A mattress is awkward for one person, floppy on stairs, and not something you want to leave at the curb in a summer downpour. Many city bulk pickups in Broward and Miami-Dade also limit what you can put out and when. We carry it straight from the bedroom to the truck.

Mattresses and box springs often go with a bed frame in one trip. Price them together when you text Dany so you get one number for the set.

Strip the sheets and mattress cover before we arrive if you can. That is all the prep it needs. If the mattress is upstairs, we bring it down; you do not have to move it into the hallway or the garage ahead of time. Bunk beds, platform beds and adjustable bases are fine too, just mention them when you text the photo.

How the price works for furniture

Furniture removal starts at $125. That is a single piece from an easy spot. More pieces, heavier pieces and harder carries cost more. A recliner from a ground-floor living room is quick. A solid wood armoire from a third-floor walk-up is not. Dany prices all of it as one flat number that includes labor, loading, hauling and disposal.

Got more than furniture? Add the boxes, the old TV and the fridge in the garage to the same photo. Dany prices it as one trip and one flat number, and you pay after the job is done.

Condos, elevators and building rules

A lot of furniture pickups here are in condo towers and gated communities. Buildings may want the service elevator reserved, padding on the elevator walls, or the work done during set hours. Check with the front desk or management and tell Dany when you book. Rapid Haul carries $1M general liability insurance if the building asks for proof.

We are careful in tight hallways and around door frames, and we take everything with us. Nothing gets left in the garbage room or by the dumpster for building staff to deal with.

When people call for furniture removal

Most calls come at a turning point. A new bedroom set is being delivered and the old one has to be out first. A house is being sold and the buyers do not want the furniture. A parent is moving into a smaller place and half the living room will not fit. Someone is redoing a bathroom and also wants the old sofas gone while the crew is there.

That last one is real: Geri C. hired Dany to demo a bathroom and have "my sofas removed" in the same visit. Jesus S. was selling his house and had furniture and a shed full of things to clear. Whatever the reason, the process is the same. Send a photo, get a price, pick a time. The crew handles the lifting, the loading and the disposal, and you get the room back that same day.
