Junk removal in Riviera Beach when the curb limit is not enough
Shed and fence tear-out debris, full cleanouts, furniture and appliance removal in Riviera Beach and Singer Island, by request. One flat price from Dany.
01Riviera Beach's bulk pickup is small, and overflow lands on your bill
Riviera Beach contracts its trash to The Goode Companies, Inc. (GCI), at (561) 444-3442. Garbage goes twice a week. Bulk covers large household items like old furniture, carpeting and appliances, and the City's page is specific about the cap: bulk waste does not have a weight limit, but is limited to three bulk items or two cubic yards per service. Anything over 6 cubic yards has to be scheduled with GCI directly.
The part people miss is the bill. Per the City, GCI charges the City $22 per cubic yard for non-compliant bulk and $8 per cubic yard for vegetation, and residents are ultimately responsible, through their City utility bill. Tires, construction and demolition debris, auto and boat parts, barrels, drums and empty gas tanks are excluded, and GCI will not pick up tires, paint or glass.
So a sofa and a mattress fit the curb. A whole house, a garage packed to the door, or a pile you would be billed for is cheaper and faster with one flat price from a hauler.
02Sheds, fences and remodel debris need a hauler here
The City's rules draw a clear line. Bulk and construction debris from minor home maintenance and repair is collected only at the curb, and GCI is not required to collect sections of fencing, debris from tearing down sheds, storage buildings and similar structures, or debris from major remodeling and construction. The City says GCI or another hauler can collect that at an additional cost to the customer.
That is the work Rapid Haul does: taking down an old shed (from $350), pulling a wood deck (from $550), removing an old fence, and hauling remodel debris (from $200). Permits in Riviera Beach go through the City's Permits & Zoning Portal. Your GC or you as the owner pull the permit; Rapid Haul does not. The tear-out is non-structural only, never anything that holds up the house.

03Mainland homes, Singer Island condos and the port
Riviera Beach was incorporated in 1922 and is home to the Port of Palm Beach and a Coast Guard station. The eastern part of the city covers most of Singer Island, across the Lake Worth Lagoon from the mainland side. Census estimates count about 18,039 homes, a median build year of 1981, and 62% owner-occupied. About 41% are detached houses, and more than 1 in 5 sits in a building of 20 or more units.
That splits the work two ways. On the mainland: backyard sheds, fences, garages and full house cleanouts. On Singer Island: condo cleanouts and tear-out debris that come down an elevator, with building rules on hours. Garage cleanouts start at $300, house cleanouts at $1,000, furniture at $125 and appliances at $100.
Riviera Beach touches West Palm Beach, Mangonia Park, Lake Park, North Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Palm Beach Shores and the Town of Palm Beach. A second job in any of them on the same day helps the math on a by-request trip.
04Booking a Riviera Beach job from Hollywood
Rapid Haul is based in Hollywood and mainly works Broward and Miami-Dade. Riviera Beach is by request, when the job is worth the drive, so there is no same-day promise. Text photos to (754) 249-1015. Dany answers himself and gives you one flat price for labor, loading, hauling and disposal, with nothing billed back later.
Junk removal is paid after the job; jobs of $1,000 and over take a 50% deposit. If you are hauling a small load yourself, SWA's Customer Convenience Drop-Off Center at the North County Landfill, 6330 N Jog Road, takes loads from the public Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 5 PM, and household chemicals go to the SWA center at 6161 N Jog Road.
