Hot tub removal in Weston, out of the patio and off the property
Old spas and hot tubs removed from Weston patios and pool decks, cut down on site if needed and hauled away. One flat price after a photo.
01Weston's bulk list does not mention hot tubs
Weston's bulk page lists what Republic Services collects four times a year: furniture, mattresses, carpets, other large household items, and large and small appliances such as dishwashers, laundry machines and stoves. Hot tubs and spas are not on it. Neither are deck boards or other contractor-generated material, which the City excludes outright.
Even if a spa were accepted, it would have to be drained, cut up and carried to the spot where your garbage cart sits, then wait for a January, April, July or October bulk day. Most owners do not have the tools or the patience for that.
If you want to know whether Republic Services would take your tub on a paid separate pickup, call them at 954-583-1830. If you would rather have it gone in one visit, send Dany the photos.
02Before the crew comes: electrician, then drain
A hardwired hot tub must be disconnected by an electrician before removal. Rapid Haul does no electrical work. If your electrician says the disconnect needs a permit, that goes through Weston's Building Code Services Department at 17250 Royal Palm Boulevard, phone 954-385-0500, and the owner or electrician arranges it.
Drain the tub the day before. The crew cannot cut or lift a spa with water in it. If the tub has been sitting full and unused, warn Dany, since a soaked cover and old water add weight.

03Weston patios, pool decks and screened enclosures
Weston is a master-planned city of family homes, with 73% of homes owner-occupied and a median owner-occupied value of $695,600, according to the Census. Backyard spas here may sit on the pool deck, inside a screened enclosure, or on their own pad off the patio. Each setup changes how the tub comes out.
A tub inside a screen enclosure has to leave through the screen door or a panel opening. A tub beside the pool means working carefully on the deck so nothing chips the coping or falls in the water. A tub sunk into a wood deck may need the deck boards around it lifted. The crew plans the cut and the route from your photos so the visit goes in one pass.
If the deck itself is going, deck tear-out starts at $550 and Dany can price both together. If your community has an association, check for notice rules or limits on trucks before the date.
- Spa shell, cabinet, frame and cover
- Steps and loose surround panels
- Pumps, heaters and other parts inside
- Sweep-up of the pad or deck where it sat
04How Dany prices a Weston hot tub
Hot tubs do not have a fixed starting price, because every yard is different. Dany gives one flat price after seeing photos of the tub, the equipment panel, the gate or screen door, and the path to the street. It includes labor, cutting, carrying, hauling and disposal.
Size, a sunken install, a screen enclosure, stairs and a long carry raise it. A small, drained, disconnected tub near the driveway keeps it down. You pay after the job. If the total reaches $1,000 or more, for example with a deck tear-out added, Dany asks for a 50% deposit and says so with the quote.

05One visit, then the patio is yours again
Most tub removals are done in a single visit. The pad stays unless you ask for it to go, and so does your electrician's disconnect. The crew sweeps up fiberglass, foam and screws before leaving.
Weston is one of the five cities Dany works most. Call or text him Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM.

Weston: common questions
Something else on your mind? Call (754) 249-1015.
Will Weston's bulk pickup take an old hot tub?
The City's bulk list does not name hot tubs or spas. Ask Republic Services about a paid pickup, or have Rapid Haul remove and haul it in one visit.
How much does hot tub removal cost in Weston?
Dany gives a flat price after photos. Size, a sunken or screened install and the length of the carry are what move it.
Can you get a hot tub out of a screened pool enclosure?
Usually, yes. If it will not fit through the screen door whole, the crew cuts it into sections inside the enclosure.
Do I need to drain the hot tub first?
Yes. Drain it the day before so the crew can cut and carry it. If it has been sitting full, tell Dany when you text the photos.
Can you take out the deck around the tub?
Yes. Deck tear-out starts at $550, and Dany can quote the tub and the deck as one flat price. Jobs of $1,000 and over take a 50% deposit.
