What we could and could not confirm about Belle Glade's curbside pickup

Straight answer first: we could not confirm the City of Belle Glade's bulk trash rules from an official source. The city's website blocked our research, and we found no other official page that says who collects household garbage and bulk here, how often, or how much you can put out. WM has a Belle Glade service page, but it does not say WM holds the city's contract, so we will not tell you it does.

So before you drag a couch to the street, call the City of Belle Glade and ask what bulk day looks like for your address and what they refuse. If the pile is bigger than the city will take, or you need it gone on a set date, that is when a hauler makes sense.

Disposal in Belle Glade is local, but weekdays only

Belle Glade has its own Solid Waste Authority sites. The SWA West County Transfer Station is at 1701 State Road 15, and the SWA Home Chemical & Recycling Center shares that address. Both are open Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and both are closed Saturday and Sunday.

SWA says transfer stations weigh vehicles on the way in and out to set the tipping fee, and its Home Chemical & Recycling Centers take household hazardous waste at no cost to Palm Beach County residents. If you plan a weekend cleanout yourself, the dump is shut until Monday. When Rapid Haul does the job, disposal is already inside the one price you are quoted.

Permits for tear-outs in Belle Glade

We could not verify which office issues building permits in Belle Glade, because the city site would not load for our research. Do not take our word on it; ask the City of Belle Glade directly before a remodel starts.

Whoever issues them, the permit is pulled by your GC or by you as the owner. Rapid Haul does not pull permits.
