The job
This was a condo in a high-rise in Highland Beach, and it was the biggest job I had taken on yet. Rapid Haul was not even a year old. The scope: a 2,200 square foot condo, three bathrooms, one kitchen, and 2,200 square feet of tile to come up.
Highland Beach is in Palm Beach County. My regular area is Broward and Miami-Dade, but I take Palm Beach jobs when the job is worth it. Honestly, I did not even know the city until I got this job.
The tile was the heart of it. Three bathrooms means three sets of wall tile and floor tile, plus the kitchen, plus the floors through the rest of the unit. All of it had to be broken out, cleared and bagged before it could leave.
What the crew did
I had five guys up there working. The photos and video show the work: tile being broken out of the floors, the bathroom wall tile coming off, broken tile cleared and swept into piles, and everything bagged inside the unit.
In a condo, the debris has to come down through the building and out to the truck. The crew carried the bagged debris down and loaded it outside the building. On a job this size the haul-out is a big share of the work, and it is all included in the one price.
Why this one mattered to me
When I posted day one, I said it straight: this was my biggest opportunity, and I took it and ran with it. I am grateful for every customer who has trusted us, and I gave God the praise for this one.
A job this size is still the same promise as a single room. One flat, all-in price for the tear-out, loading, hauling and disposal, and the crew stays until the space is clear.
Planning a condo demo?
Text me photos at (754) 249-1015, and tell me the building's rules if you know them. Many condo buildings want work hours respected, the elevator booked and proof of insurance. Rapid Haul carries $1M general liability. Your contractor or the owner handles any permits.
