Junk removal cost is the first thing people ask me about, usually with a photo of a couch, a garage or a whole house attached. You want a real number before you book, not a range that changes on the day.
I'm Dany, and I run Rapid Haul out of Hollywood. Below are my actual starting prices, what moves a job above them, what it costs to haul junk yourself, and how to get one flat price from me today.
01How much does junk removal cost in South Florida?
With Rapid Haul, junk removal in Broward and Miami-Dade starts at $100 for one appliance, $125 for furniture, $300 for a garage cleanout and $1,000 for a full house cleanout. Those are the starting prices on my Square booking page, and they are the same whether you are in Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines or Kendall.
Anything not on the list gets one flat price after a photo or a quick look. That covers hot tubs, office junk, storage units and the mixed pile that has been growing beside the house for a year. The starting price is a floor, not a teaser: it is what a small, easy version of that job really costs.
| Job | Starts at |
|---|---|
| Appliance removal | $100 |
| Furniture removal | $125 |
| Construction debris | $200 |
| Garage cleanout | $300 |
| Shed removal | $350 |
| House cleanout | $1,000 |
| Everything else | Flat price after a photo |
02What is the minimum charge for junk removal?
The minimum charge for junk removal with Rapid Haul is $100, the starting price for a single appliance like a fridge, washer or water heater. One piece of furniture, such as a recliner or a mattress set, starts at $125.
A small, easy job lands at or near those numbers. More pieces, heavier pieces or a harder carry put the job above them, and I tell you the exact number before we book. For a single room or a garage cleanout, a few photos are usually all I need.
03Is disposal included in the junk removal cost?
Yes, disposal is included in every Rapid Haul junk removal price, along with the crew, the carrying, the loading and the drive. There is no dump line added at the end and no hourly clock running while we work.
Disposal is a real cost, which is why it matters. Miami-Dade County's disposal fees list a non-contract rate of $115.80 per ton at its landfills and transfer stations, in effect since October 1, 2025, and the county does not take cash. When you compare quotes, ask one question: is disposal inside that number? A low price that leaves out the dump run is not a low price.
04What makes junk removal cost more?
Junk removal costs more when there is more of it, when it is heavy, or when it is hard to get from where it sits to the truck. These are the things I look for in your photos:
- How much there is. One recliner and a packed two-car garage are different jobs.
- Weight. Tile, concrete, dirt and wet carpet weigh far more than furniture that takes up the same space.
- The carry. Stairs, a long walk from the back of the property, or a condo with no service elevator add time.
- Tear-out. If something has to be taken apart or cut down before it can be loaded, that is extra labor.
- Sorting. Working around things that stay takes longer than clearing a room top to bottom.
- Items we can't load. Paint, chemicals and propane tanks come out of the pile first. Check the won't-take list before you book.
05Free city pickup or a paid hauler
For one or two pieces with no deadline, your city's bulk pickup is often the cheapest route, and I will tell you that when you call. The catch is the limits, and they are different in every city.
In Hollywood, bulk rules say bulk waste "shall be no more than 6 cubic yards," it is collected once a month, and construction and demolition material is refused. Pembroke Pines bulk pickup runs twice a month, is limited to 10 cubic yards per pickup, and charges $15 per cubic yard over the limit once you have used your two extra pickups for the year. In unincorporated Miami-Dade and the cities the county serves, you book a bulky appointment first; each property gets two pickups of up to 25 cubic yards a year, and the pile can't go out more than 3 days early.
Hauling it yourself works for small loads if you have a truck. Broward's drop-off centers are open Saturdays only, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for residents of participating cities, and they turn away pickups larger than 1 ton and trailers longer than 8 feet. Miami-Dade's trash centers cap construction and demolition debris at three cubic yards per customer per day. If you have a deadline, a full garage or debris the city won't take, that is where a flat-price hauler earns its money.
06How to get your flat price today
Call or text me at (754) 249-1015. I answer my own phone, Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM. Send a photo of the whole pile or room, not just the top of it, and tell me where it sits: garage, second floor, backyard. Most of the time I can give you one flat price from that, usually the same day.
Same-day pickup is often possible when you call early. One customer who needed items gone the same day wrote that we were "at my home in less than an hour" (Kristy K.). Junk removal is paid after the job, once the space is clear and you have looked at it. Jobs of $1,000 and over, which are mostly demolition, take a 50% deposit, and I tell you which applies when I quote.
To keep the cost down, box or bag the small stuff, mark what stays, and do it all in one visit. A couch now and a fridge next month costs more than both together. When you're ready, start with my junk removal.
